Do I need Wi-Fi to take card payments on site?
No. The PAX A920 Pro has its own 4G SIM, so it works anywhere with mobile signal and switches to Wi-Fi when it's available.
Can I take a deposit before starting a job?
Yes. Send the customer a secure payment link by text or email, or take the payment over the phone.
Is a card machine better than a small card reader for trades?
If you take card payments regularly, a card machine with personalised rates often works out better than a card reader's flat rate, and it doesn't rely on your phone. Our card machine vs card reader guide explains the difference.
Can I switch if I'm still in a contract?
Often, yes. Send us your statement and we'll look into it. In some cases, subject to approval, we can help with the exit fee.
